8th International Conference on Urban Climate – ICUC 8 and 10th Symposium on the Urban EnvironmentThe International Association for Urban Climate (IAUC) and the American Meteorological Society (AMS) Board of the Urban Environment (BUE) warmly invite you to the joint 8th International Conference on Urban Climate (ICUC8) and AMS 10th Symposium on the Urban Environment to be held in Dublin, Ireland. These meetings are preeminent events for the presentation of research on the urban climate effect at all scales and have set important benchmarks for the development of the field. The aims of this joint conference are to provide an international forum where the world’s urban climatologists can discuss modern developments in research, and the application of climatic knowledge to the design of better cities. The focus is on original research into the physical, biological and chemical atmospheric processes operating in built areas, the weather, climate and surface hydrology experienced in built areas, the design and testing of scale, statistical and numerical models of urban climates or reports on the application of climatic understanding in architectural design or urban planning. Papers may relate to new concepts, methods, instruments, observations, applications, forecasting operations, scenario testing, projections of future climates, etc. Special sessions that focus on major field or other projects may be proposed.
