Welcome to the Holland Climate House web page during the Copenhagen Climate Conference (CoP15). We hope you have enjoyed your stay with us. During the entire COP15, the Holland Climate House offered a broad spectrum of activities including presentations about issues such as new regional climate models and the climate-proofing of cities. There were discussions about what happens when things get out of hand under extreme scenarios and about meat consumption patterns. Well-known scientists visited the Holland Climate House, as will the mayor of Rotterdam, Dutch ministers and Dutch water authorities. The Holland Climate House was an initiative of the two Dutch climate research programmes 'Knowledge for Climate' and 'Climate changes Spatial Planning', established by the Dutch Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment. These programmes enable scientists to work closely together with policy makers and others to develop knowledge that is scientifically innovative and practice oriented. The programme was put together by these two research programmes and fifteen other science- and policy based organisations, described on the last pages of this programme booklet.
