It is CIRCLE-2's hope that this book and its inspirational case studies will inspire and teach professionals, policy makers and researchers to initiate their own local adaptation projects or improve current strategies and plans for adapting to climate change.

Pavel Kabat meets Ban Ki-moon Former CcSP Programme Scientific Director Prof. Dr. Pavel Kabat recently met Ban Ki-moon to discusse research that ties into the water-energy nexus. Kabat emphasized the need to study water and energy together, because the two systems are intertwined, as was shown in a joint Wageningen University and IIASA study, published in Nature Climate Change.
